City of Memphis Curfew Details for Businesses

Curfew Details

Begins June 1, 2020 at 10:00 p.m. through June 2, 2020 and continues nightly from 10:00 p.m. thru 6:00 a.m. until June 8, 2020 at 11:59 p.m. 

What Businesses Should Know
Businesses are not required to close
    • Facilities that are normally operational are not being asked to close due to the curfew.
Employees are not being impacted
    • The curfew “shall not apply to persons lawfully on the streets for employment, health, safety purposes.”  This is inclusive of medical personnel in the performance of their respective duties.
No special identification needed; no checkpoints
    • Individuals should not be concerned with traveling to and from work or with having any special identification. In similar fashion as with the “Safer at Home” order, MPD officers will not be stopping cars and setting up checkpoints to ask questions.
